About us · Boardroom Psychology

Psychology that works in the boardroom.

For more than 20 years we have been developing practice-driven psychological methods for the most critical moments in leadership and negotiation — where decisions are made under pressure and relationships matter just as much as results.

Our mission

Negotiating & leading becomes a measurable skill.

Boardroom Psychology was founded on the observation that many companies send their biggest value drivers — procurement, sales, claim management, leadership — into situations where psychological dynamics determine the outcome. And that classic training rarely prepares them for it.

We have made it our mission to change that. With tactical psychology that doesn't end in the lecture hall but begins where it really counts: in the next negotiation, the next critical conversation, the next escalation.

Our standard is high: measurably better results — for EBIT, for the relationship with partners and clients, and for the composure of the people who sit at the table on behalf of their organization. Field-tested. Scalable. AI-powered.

Dr. Klaus Lassert — the architect of the method.

Dr. Klaus Lassert's mission has stayed the same for more than 20 years: to develop Boardroom Psychology — a practice-driven psychological method that supports companies worldwide in their most critical tactical challenges: in negotiation, conflict management, leadership and change.

Klaus has advised managers from Fortune 500 companies in Europe, the USA and Asia and has co-negotiated major international business deals. He is Lead MBA Lecturer for Negotiation on the International EMBA of the University of St. Gallen (HSG) — ranked No. 1 worldwide in Career Impact by the Financial Times — and works closely with the Schranner Negotiation Institute, where he serves as Chief Psychologist.

As a PhD psychologist and certified systemic therapist & coach (WISPO / DGSF), he combines scientific depth with the reality of the boardroom. His style: clear, precise, practical — and always focused on what makes the biggest difference when it comes to EBIT, risk and execution.

What sets us apart

Three principles that are non-negotiable.

Classic training has a short, situational effect. We combine tactical psychology with AI-powered measurability and live practice — so that knowledge becomes behavior, and behavior becomes measurable business results.

Practice over theory

Boardroom reality, not a lecture hall.

Our method comes from 20+ years of advising at tables where something was truly at stake. What we teach has proven itself in real negotiations with real consequences — not in model calculations.
Measurable & scalable

AI makes behavior transparent.

With PSYMULATOR™, the negotiation behavior of entire teams becomes visible, trainable and measurable. Initial robust analyses at company level are available after around 20 minutes. No technical integration required. GDPR-compliant. Ready to start instantly.
Tactical psychology

We work at the root.

Negotiations are not decided by arguments, but by perception, emotion and power. Our method starts exactly there — at the psychological mechanisms that enable composure when pressure is at its peak.
What we stand for

Our stance.

Six convictions that shape our work — and that guide which mandates we accept and how we run them.

i.

Impact beats volume

We develop programs that show up in EBIT and relationships — not in participant certificates.

ii.

Science, grounded

Psychology from research, translated into tools that work in the boardroom. Nothing esoteric. Everything evidence-based.

iii.

Relationship is substance

Hard results without burned bridges: composed negotiators win without making the other side lose.

iv.

Speed matters

Better results in weeks, not years. First measurable behavior improvement within 60 minutes per participant.

v.

Discretion is standard

What is discussed at the table stays at the table. GDPR-compliant, confidential, never used as a reference without explicit approval.

vi.

We stay practitioners

We only advise on what we do ourselves. Every element of our method has proven itself in real mandates — and is continuously developed further.
